How do you control it?

Find the MIDI ports, then start the bridge with this driver:

osc-bridge detect # prints the ready-to-run line for what is plugged in
osc-bridge run --device devices/m-vave/fm-1.vendor.fw-pigeon-0.5.0-beta.1.json --out-port <N> --in-port <M>

Then send OSC to 127.0.0.1:7777, for example:

osc-bridge osc-send /fm1/mod_wheel 63

From Claude or any MCP client, the osc-bridge mcp server exposes this driver as fm1: ask “what can the M-VAVE FM-1 do?” and it reads this map with list_routes. See the MCP guide.

Limitations

PIGEON 0.5.0-beta.1 by The Shrimp Blimp (GPL-3.0), a sampler firmware for the FM-1. Keeps Felucca's MIDI map except: Product build (build-sampler.sh: FELUCCA_SAMPLER_ONLY=1, KO_DUAL=1): 3 MIDI-reachable parts, not 4 (UI_TRACK_COUNT, core.h:39-40; midi_slot seq.c:1559). Track 1 song SLICE, track 2 kit SAMPLE, track 3 song SLICE (ko_ui.c:71); CH4 unheard with CH1-4; Engine set: only SAMPLE (4) and SLICE (13), others stubbed (engines.c:72): CC74 -> SAMPLE CUT / SLICE TONE, CC71 does nothing; MIDI note ownership packed into nibbles (internal, no wire change); a route-block change also resets bend/wheel/AT of all tracks; MIDI out: keys as notes at fixed velocity 100 (seq.c:905); no CC1 out; Identity: INFO 'PIGEON v0.5.0-beta.1', USB product 'PIGEON'. Channels: Felucca MIDI IN modes CH1-4 (default) / SEL / CH5-8 / CH9-12 / CH13-16 / TRACK (per-track channel, OMNI/OFF), but only parts 1-3 reachable in the product build. Pitch bend: 14-bit; RPN0 range 0-24 st + 0-99 cents, default 2; drum tracks ignore. Aftertouch: channel aftertouch = mod-matrix source; poly AT ignored. Clock: source INT/USB/TRS (MENU CLOCK); F8 steps, FA/FB/FC honoured; no SPP; no clock out (midi_clock.c identical to Felucca 1.6.1). MIDI out: USB only: panel keys as notes on the track channel, velocity 100; no CC1, no clock. NRPN: none (CC98/99 only cancel RPN). SysEx `F0 7D 46 4C`: Felucca editor protocol, same command set (1-38, 64-67, FM6 68-71/74-77, menu 72-73, learn 78-79); no palette 80-81. SysEx `F0 00 32 45`: M-VAVE update protocol kept (identify F0 00 32 45 00 00 00 40 7F F7 -> 27-byte product string). SysEx `F0 43`: absent: no raw DX7 parser (only editor FM6 commands). SysEx `F0 22 24 35 7D F7`: reboots to mask-ROM (never send). Identity: vendor identify 'FM-1_900' (felucca.c:32, kept by build_signed_release.sh); editor INFO 'PIGEON v0.5.0-beta.1' (editor.c:509, project_identity.h); USB product 'PIGEON' (usb.c:378), loader 'Felucca Update'; no Universal Identity.
