Use it
Find the MIDI ports, then start the bridge with this driver:
osc-bridge detect # prints the ready-to-run line for what is plugged in
osc-bridge run --device devices/clavia/nord-modular-g2.vendor.fw-1.4.json --out-port <N> --in-port <M>
Then send OSC to 127.0.0.1:7777, for example:
From Claude or any MCP client, the osc-bridge mcp server exposes this driver as nord_modular_g2: ask “what can the Clavia Nord Modular G2 do?” and it reads this map with list_routes. See the MCP guide.

Performance MIDI
Notes, pitch bend and any CC are also available: /nord_modular_g2/note/on <note> <velocity>, /nord_modular_g2/cc/<number> <value>, /nord_modular_g2/pitchbend <0-16383>, /nord_modular_g2/program_change <n>.
Limitations
Source: Nord Modular G2 manual v1.4x, chapter 12. Apart from the preassigned controllers above, MIDI CC# 0-119 are assigned to module parameters by the user in each patch, so no patch parameter can be listed. Each slot (A-D) plays and takes Program Change (patch, banks via CC#32) on its own channel; on the Global MIDI channel (Off at the factory) notes play like the keyboard and Program Change loads a performance. Patch and performance dumps (20H/28H, split in blocks with a 7-bit sum) arrive as /sysex/raw; sending them back is not exposed (they are whole files). Untested on hardware.
Frequently asked questions
How many parameters of the Clavia Nord Modular G2 can be controlled over MIDI?
SynthHub's map of the Clavia Nord Modular G2 lists 15 MIDI CC parameters, each with its number, range and a readable name; the full chart is on this page.
Can an AI agent like Claude control the Clavia Nord Modular G2?
Yes: SynthHub's hosted MCP server knows the Clavia Nord Modular G2's MIDI map, and its browser relay lets the agent send it parameter changes or load a sound, each sound change confirmed by you.
